NCAPs #safecarsforindia campaign released results of recently conducted crash tests for various cars on September 27th 2018. Out of the many results shared Maruti Suzuki Brezza managed to steal the show with 4 star safety rating. The results were announced on the same day as of Global NCAP world conference which was held at New Delhi.
One of the major disappointment was Renault Lodgy which managed to get zero stars. Renaul may think to withdraw Lodgy owing to lower sales and high investment to meet the new safety standards.
Brezza on the other hand is leading sub 4 meter SUV pact and this 4 star rating will definately further increase its sales.
Brezza come in only diesel variants and competes with Eco Sports, Nexon etc.. On safety front Brezza is equipped with dual Airbags, Abs and isofix seat anchors. The car provided solid adult protection due to its sturdy structure and safety features.
The car is sold at price tag of 7.58 to 10.55 lakhs. The car comes equipped with touch screen infotainment system which supports navigation. Cruise control and electric ovrm are also included in higher trims.
The car is powered by Fiat’s 1248 CC diesel mill which produces maximum power of 88.5 bhp and torque of 200nm. The car is able to give a ARAI milage of 24.3 km/l
The car has length of 3995mm, width of 1790mm and wheelbase of 2500mm. The car provides a decent bootspace of 328l. Top trims of the car is equipped with automatic climate control, cruise control, push on/off and alloy wheels.
After impressing with Brezza, Maruti Suzuki was again doubted as a recent NCAP rating revealed that the new Swift managed to get only 2 stars.
