Mahindra is synonymous with manufacturing of urban utility vehicles such as Bolero, Thar, Scorpio, XUV 500 etc. Since some time, their core strength is under siege by Maruti Suzuki, Ford, Hyundai, Renault, Honda and now Tata Motors who have ventured in manufacturing of soft roaders such as Brezza, Ertiga, Eco Sports, Creta, Duster, WRV, Nexon etc, who have been gaining popularity and have reshaped SUV segment in India.
Over past few years compact SUVs have been gaining popularity and their direct impact is on the sales of UV segment. Mahindra and Mahindra has been consistently loosing market share as it doesn’t have any soft roaders which could take on the likes of Brezza which is the number 1 seller in compact SUV category.
Mahindra’s KUV100 & TUV300 have not been able to sustain the competition given by Brezza, Nexon and Eco Sports which is why some drastic step had to be taken. Recently Mahindra has launched Marazzo to take on Ertiga and now Mahindra has now decided to launch Mahindra XUV 300 a miniature of XUV 500 which will take on the likes of Brezza, Nexon, Brezza etc..
Ssangyong Tivoli a crossover will be Indianised and will be launched in a new avatar as XUV 300 in coming days. Recently it has been found testing on Indian roads which reminds us that the launch is not so far.
Below are the pics of International Version of the Car.

The car is expected to sport 1.5 L engine which is found in Marazzo. The engine would produce power of 123 hp power and generate torque of 300Nm.
Once of the major upgrade is that this car would sport 17″ alloys when compared to 16″ alloys offered by Nexon and Brezza. The car my have 2-zone climate control system and panoramic sun roof both being segment-first feature. Apart from these, the car would get touch screen infotainment system, ABS, Airbags, EBD and parking sensors.
