Mahindra & Mahindra’s have launched Marazzo last month as an answer to Suzuki Ertiga & Toyota Innova Crysta. Ever since its launch since september, Marazzo has carved a niche for itself. It has created segment of its own in the multi-purpose vehicle (MPV) segment. In less than a month the car has been able to attract over 10,000 bookings which is an achievement in itself.
Mahindra Automotive North America (MANA) development centre in Detroit has developed this unique shark inspired vehicle by taking inputs from its counter parts in India. The car has been co-designed by Mahindra Design Studio and the Italian design house, Pininfarina.
Currently the car is priced in the Rs 9.99 lakh – Rs 13.90 lakh (ex-showroom New Delhi). As of now car is offered in Diesel variant only and is powered by their all new 1.5 liter D15 diesel engine mated with 6 speed manual transmission which produces power of 121 Ps and generates torque of 300 Nm.
The car comes equipped with touch screen infotainment system and comes equipped with dual air bags, ABS, EBD, Projector head lamps, DRL light, cornering lamps and stylish 17″ alloy wheels. The car also comes equipped with auto climate control with separate roof-mounted air conditioning system for the second and third rows. Marrazo offers folding capability for 3rd Row with 60:40 split with flat fold to increase cargo space.

Marrazo is placed strategically in between Ertiga and Innova Crysta which has resulted in a set of customers who are willing to buy this MPV. We shall be monitoring sales of Marazzo closely and if it makes to top 25 car sales figure in October it would a jackpot for Mahindra & Mahindra who is constantly loosing its market share to soft readers over a period of time.
Mahindra & Mahindra has its XUV 300 lined up for launch some time soon which will take its battle to the likes of Brezza, Nexon, Duster, Eco Sports etc..
