In era of super bikes, there existed legends like Jawa, Lambretta, RX100, RD350 etc which are always remembered and people desire to own them even now. Unlike Royal enfield all other bikes had to be discontinued in India for various reasons.
Vespa made a company in Indian market but is not able to make such huge impact as it did previously. Earlier in September, Classic Legends Pvt.Ltd had informed about launching JAWA by year end. It is now informed that JAWA motorcycle will be unveiled in India on Nov 15th 2018.
As they quote “Look who’s back!Because you see, the Jawa never really went away. It was just out taking a bit of a ride.” We hope the performance and joy of riding is similar to classic JAWA.
On Oct 11th 2019, the company unveiled its engine which looks similar to old JAWA engine but internally the engine has been upgraded to comply with BS-VI norms. It houses 293 CC liquid cooled DOHC engine which produces power of 27bhp and a torque of 28Nm. The engine will have dual exhaust and one may get deceived by the fins that it is a air cooled engine.
Classic Legends is owned by Mahindra & Mahindra and as per a report they plan to review BSA motor cycles and launch other motorcycles under it.
